The 17th Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair will run from November 6 to 8, 2025, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, featuring over 620 exhibitors from 21 countries. This year’s event highlights a surge in Chinese baijiu brands, with six of China’s top 10—Kweichow Moutai, Jiangsu Yanghe, Wuliangye, Luzhou Laojiao, Jiannanchun, and Langjiu—on display.
Global Spirits and Industry Growth
A new “World of Spirits” zone will showcase spirits from 13 countries, including baijiu, whisky, and brandy. Twenty spirit-focused events, including the 2025 China Baijiu Culture International Promotion Asia Forum, will underscore the expanding spirits market. Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, expects 60 buyer delegations from 25 countries, targeting over 8,000 buyers, boosted by recent tax reductions on high-end spirits.
Public Day and Unique Offerings
Open to the public on November 8, the fair offers a chance to sample rare wines and spirits, including Australia’s Haselgrove Wines, Spain’s BODEGAS CASTAÑO, Portugal’s Adega de Pegões, and Hong Kong’s Hongjiaban Moutai by actor Timmy Hung. Highlights also include Austria’s Anina Verde wine, Italy’s Don Carlo, Japan’s Hyakusyun Junmai Daiginjo sake, and Estonia’s organic, low-sugar cocktails by Punch Club OÜ. The “Friends of Wine Zone” will pair beverages with gourmet foods like ham and cheese.
Education and Tastings
The “Sommelier’s Choice” event features blind-tasting picks by experts like Carlito Chiu and Master of Wine Xing Wei. Masterclasses led by Debra Meiburg and Jennifer Docherty, plus themed tastings and seminars, will explore global beverage trends, making the fair a hub for enthusiasts and professionals alike.
