Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui opened ComplexCon Hong Kong 2026 on Saturday, praising the event’s growth into a major pop culture showcase and reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as Asia’s premier center for global arts and style exchange.

Speaking at the opening ceremony today, Law welcomed attendees to the third edition of ComplexCon Hong Kong, which debuted in 2024 with support from the government’s Mega Arts and Cultural Events Fund. She noted the event has quickly become a vibrant mix of pop culture, music, art, technology, and streetwear.

Law highlighted Hong Kong’s unique East-meets-West identity as the ideal host for this international gathering of creative talent.

This year’s lineup features local artist Kasing Lung as artistic director, alongside global headliners Yeat from the US and Jennie from Korea, blending international appeal with a distinctly local flavour.

The two-day event includes the Complex Live! stage with top hip-hop and R&B acts, exclusive “Hong Kong Element” merchandise, and a marketplace showcasing over 100 brands ranging from global names to local streetwear designers.

Law also promoted the Hong Kong Mega 8, a series of eight major events running through March and April, with ComplexCon as a flagship. She encouraged visitors to explore other highlights such as Art Basel, Art Central, the Hong Kong Derby, and the UCI Track World Cup.

She thanked Complex US CEO Aaron Levant, Complex Hong Kong founder Bonnie Chan Woo, and all partners for making the event possible for the third year, wishing everyone an enjoyable experience and the festival continued success.
