Hong Kong Records Coldest Morning of the Season at 10.9°C, More Freezing Conditions Expected

Hong Kong experienced its chilliest dawn of the winter season on Wednesday, as temperatures plunged to 10.9 degrees Celsius at the Observatory headquarters prior to 5:30 a.m., according to the Hong Kong Observatory.
Even colder readings were observed in elevated terrains. A vigorous northeast monsoon is delivering arid and clear conditions along the Guangdong coastline.
Due to its sustained effects, chilly mornings are anticipated to persist from Wednesday through Friday, with lows hovering between 10 and 11 degrees in metropolitan districts, dropping several degrees further in the New Territories.
Authorities have urged residents to bundle up and attend to vulnerable groups, including seniors and individuals with pre-existing health issues. A modest warming trend is forecast for the weekend, though early hours will stay brisk.
