Ambitious Goals for Attendance and Spending
Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Vice President Sophia Chong noted that despite post-pandemic shifts in economic and consumer behavior, last year’s fair attracted 990,000 visitors, with an average per-person spending of HK$912, up 4.6% from the previous year. This accounted for 74% of attendees’ annual physical book expenditure. The HKTDC has intensified promotional efforts in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and other cities, aiming to surpass one million visitors in 2025 while maintaining last year’s spending levels.
