Lan Kwai Fong Halloween Festivities to Begin This Saturday

Lan Kwai Fong is set to launch its annual Halloween celebrations this Saturday, featuring live DJ parties, street performances and exclusive dining promotions. Organisers expect foot traffic similar to last year’s strong turnout of around 80,000 people.

Allan Zeman, chairman of the Lan Kwai Fong Group, expressed confidence in the event’s business prospects. He noted that Halloween has a 40-year history in Hong Kong and has become an iconic annual occasion for residents to relieve stress and showcase their creativity. Zeman also pointed to substantial support from the Hong Kong Tourism Board, which has organised Halloween-themed activities across the city this year, expected to attract large numbers of tourists, locals and partygoers.

Over the next three consecutive Saturdays from 7pm to 11pm, Lan Kwai Fong will host the “Monster Parade and Costume Party.” The events will include face-painting zones and live DJ sets to enhance the festive atmosphere. The highlight, “Only in LKF! Halloween Cosplay Party @ LKF Monster Mash,” will start at 8pm each evening, with a troupe of costumed characters performing on the streets.

Giant themed murals and Halloween decorations have already been installed throughout the area for visitors to take photos. This year, the Lan Kwai Fong Group has also introduced 12 original monster characters along with a collectible card series. Customers who spend at participating merchants will receive the cards for collection and lucky draws, while several of the characters will make appearances at designated restaurants and bars.

From October 17 to 31, more than 20 merchants in Lan Kwai Fong will offer buy-one-get-one-free drink promotions and a 15 per cent discount on signature dishes, adding further incentives for visitors during the festive period.
