CON-CON® HONG KONG 2026, a brand-new, large-scale pop culture and intellectual property (IP) convention, is set to debut at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong on April 4th and 5th.
Spearheaded by Medialink Group, this two-day mega-event aims to be a significant celebration of contemporary trends, combining immersive exhibitions, a large-scale music festival, and exclusive experiences for fans.
Organizers have revealed that the event will revolve around three central themes: “Mix Some NOISE!,” “Mix Some FUN!,” and “Mix Some MUSIC!,” each offering a distinctive array of attractions.
The “Mix Some NOISE!” section will highlight globally recognized IPs, including popular franchises like Gundam, Godzilla, and Jujutsu Kaisen, promising exciting new creative collaborations.
The “Mix Some FUN!” area will showcase innovative and immersive experiences from leading brands like SONY, designed to redefine the boundaries of traditional entertainment.
A key highlight of the convention will be the “Mix Some MUSIC!” festival, featuring a star-studded lineup of artists from across Asia, with a diverse selection of J-POP, J-ROCK, and Cantopop performances.
Confirmed performers include Hong Kong's own AK from MIRROR and Tyson Yoshi.
Joining them will be iconic Japanese artists such as Yoko Takahashi, the original vocalist behind the Neon Genesis Evangelion theme song, "A Cruel Angel's Thesis"; Maki Ohguro, famous for the Slam Dunk ending theme; visual kei rock star MIYAVI; and Maki Goto, formerly of the group Morning Musume. Popular J-ROCK bands FLOW (Naruto) and Do As Infinity (Inuyasha) are also scheduled to perform, along with up-and-coming acts like TOGENASHI TOGEARI and Unnämed.
To promote the event, multifaceted talent Cocomi has been named the official ambassador. Known for her classical music career, voice acting work, and passion for anime, Cocomi will be present at the opening ceremony in Hong Kong to interact with fans.
The event's creative direction is being led by internationally acclaimed artist COIN PARKING DELIVERY, who has created the event's logo and visual identity, featuring his well-known character, Mr. Shirai.
